Inclement Weather Delayed Start Schedule
Winter weather, or other unforeseen events, can result in the district needing to implement a delayed start to the school day. Although we have not practiced delayed starts in the past, the district has developed a schedule for such days. Please take a minute to review the attached schedule below. The use of a delayed start schedule can allow for school to take place, without adding additional days to the end of the year for cancellations. In the event a delayed start is appropriate, parents will be notified through the same means as a school cancellation (TV, School Messenger, Facebook, and the school app). In short, everything is pushed back approximately two hours. Buses will run approximately two hours late and arrive at school between 9:40 and 9:45. Students should not arrive before 9:40. Breakfast will be served from 9:40-10:00. The school day will start at 10:00. Lunch shifts will operate as normal. School dismissal will take place at the same time. Please review the schedule and make preparations should a delayed start to the school day be appropriate.
