Gwen Lamb was awarded the Osage Co. Anti-Drug Community Action Team Student of the Month for November 2018.  Gwen will be featured in an upcoming edition of the UD newspaper.

The criteria for selection is as follows: students in grades 10-12, academic performance, outstanding conduct, charitable/community service, and have pledged to remain drug and alcohol free throughout their high school career.  Gwen was nominated by district staff based on the following information:

Gwen is an outstanding student and takes pride in getting good grades. She is in the top tier of her class.

Gwen is active in dance classes out of school. She travels to St. Louis 2-3 times weekly to participate in class. She also mentors one of my students in class once a week. Gwen is teaching her ballet after school.  Gwen also has a job at a restaurant.

Gwen is a good student and person. She is an excellent role model for the younger students. She is dedicated in and out of school. She knew in 4th grade (or younger) that she wanted to be a dancer. She has kept this passion for dance and excelling at school alive during her academic career here at Osage R-1.
