Parents and Students

Just wanted to make a note about the different college and career readiness resources that our high school has to offer.

Dual Credit courses- these courses count as both high school and college credits. These courses are a great way for students to get a jump start on college. They can be transferred to most colleges and can help the student work on getting their general education credits out of the way before college even starts. There is a small fee to take the classes and they are done online through UCM. If interested please see Mrs. Birmingham for details on taking a dual credit class.

A+ peer tutoring- This program is a great way for a student who are interested in college or a tech school to gain scholarship money.  Students must meet certain requirements in order to participate. If interested please see Mrs. Birmingham

Missouri Connections and ACT Prep Courses- The school uses Missouri Connections to help students research the different career paths one can take and what is required to do that career. The site also allows students to research different options for post-secondary avenues. ACT Prep courses are given through the school and are a great way to prepare for the college entrance exam. It is a great way to get comfortable with the test format and get an idea of the different testing questions. If interested in taking a prep course please contact Mrs. Birmingham
